Ingredients
- Frozen mango– Mangoes are naturally sweet and are packed with vitamins and minerals! Frozen mango is the key to getting a thick and creamy consistency and along with bananas forms the base of this bowl. However, you can customise your bowl by adding in other fruits such as strawberries or blueberries.
- Frozen banana– Bananas add creaminess to you bowl. As above, bananas should be frozen before blending
- Plant- based milk– almond, oat or soy all work well. Start with a small amount and the add as needed. Do not add too much milk or the smoothie could become too runny! If you find the frozen fruit gets stuck in blender, use a spoon or fork to gently move them around and keep blending for a few seconds at a time
- Toppings of choice– you can be creative with topping such as nuts, seeds, granola, fresh fruit, and perhaps peanut or almond butter..the list is endless! Granola and shredded coconut are great for adding some ‘crunch’ to your bowl.
Tip: Try not to add too much plant-based milk- add small amounts at a time and use a spoon or fork to mix up frozen fruit in blender every 5-10 secs to keep the ingredients frozen or your smoothie bowl could become too runny!
